The new Longchamp Parisian – Individual style through and through

"The Longchamp Parisian doesn't play by the rules: she puts different pieces together with charming nonchalance and that very French, seemingly effortless je-ne-sais-quoi"

Sophie DELAFONTAINE, Artistic Director of Longchamp.

THE RECIPE FOR HAPPINESS

Choosing what to buy at the market is part of why it's so fun. And as for the Parisienne? Well, her look makes no compromises: embroidered jeans, a long-sleeved top, a knotted square scarf and a crossbody bag.

A FLORAL STROLL

In Honfleur and elsewhere, the Parisienne sports delicate floral details and continues on her way, taking all the time she needs. The joy of recharging in the countryside, strolling through the market stalls and savouring nature's radiant delights is all anyone really needs.

Describe the lifestyle of a Parisian.

Dressed in chic, comfortable (you'll rarely see a true Parisian in high heels) clothing, she roams the capital indulging in two main pleasures: culture and good food. And that's not forgetting her friends, who make her laugh (she likes to laugh and never takes herself too seriously). She likes mixing philosophical discussion with clothes shopping. You'll find her in a café in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in a museum showing the latest exhibition on everyone's lips or in a boutique on rue Saint-Honoré looking for her newest key piece.

Being self-confident is the best way for her to have style. She doesn't need anyone to fill her wardrobe for her; she chooses her clothes without others' input. Maybe a piece with a bold edge to it? She wears it but keeps the rest of her look simple to maintain that enduringly chic, non-eccentric charm. Elegance with no compromise. A style we can all flaunt regardless of nationality. In the words of Sacha Guitry, "Being a Parisian is not about being born in Paris, it is about being reborn there ".
